Queer and Feminist Musings is a book comprised of individually perforated signs that can be removed for guerrilla activism, daily affirmations, or for general enjoyment. In honor of Pride, these books mimic the colors of the Pride flag and house some of the most influential Queer and Feminist Scholars of our time.
"This compendium of Queer and Feminist quotes is a brief, albeit significant, overview of some of the most influential ideas and thinkers of our time and the time before us. Many of these scholars and activists devoted their lives to laboratory theory and action, and we continue to reference their monumental contributions to social change and emancipatory politics as we work toward dismantling systems of oppression. This volume is by no means a complete list of notable thinkers, these just happen to be quotes that have stuck with me throughout my learning and shape the way I think about the world and our place in it.
To quote The Combahee River Collective; Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Maya Angelou, Fannie Lou Hamer, and many others shared variations of this sentiment:
"No one is free until we are all free."
